Welcome to Living Larder

a little story about us

Living Larder is very much a family business, with a long established history in growing fresh produce at Galley Horne on the Isle of Wight. The family first started growing on this site in 1922 and since then the business has spanned many generations. Will Steward now runs the farm with his wife Aimee.

Over the years we have grown fruit and flowers, vegetables and salads and for a brief period grassed everything over to keep sheep. In 2013, Will returned the farm to full time vegetable production fulfilling a long held ambition after a successful career as a Chartered Engineer. Will has very much grown the business based on a passion for well flavoured fresh produce, clear traceability and a pride in our own growing ability and heritage.

In 2014 we piloted a vegetable box scheme supplying around 20 family and friends and we have not looked back. In 2015 we launched Living Larder aiming to grow and supply the best tasting, finest and most diverse fresh produce directly to your door.

The produce that we grow is eaten by ourselves daily, so we know what tastes good and when, Aimee cooks daily with her willing volunteers Annabelle and George and we include our favourite recipes in your box each week.
